When is it Time to Move to Another State?

Do you feel like you're stuck in a rut? Doing the same thing day in and day out can make you feel like you're in a prison of your own making. To break free from the monotony, moving to a new city can be a great way to add some spontaneity to your life. But how do you know when it's time to move to another state? If you're constantly complaining about your living situation, your surroundings, your neighbors and almost everything else, that's one of the clearest signs that it's time for a change. If you're struggling financially due to the high cost of living in your current state, it may be time to research housing, utilities, food, healthcare, education and transportation in other states.

If you live in any of the cold states such as North Dakota, Maine, Minnesota, Wyoming, Montana, Vermont, Wisconsin, New Hampshire, Idaho or Michigan, then you've probably used too many snow shovels and that's a sure sign that it might be time to move to a warmer state. On the other hand, if you live in any of the warm states in the south such as Florida, Louisiana, Texas, Georgia, Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona or California, then it might be time to head north and reap the full benefits of living in a cold state. Sometimes the only reason for moving to a new place may be the need for a change of scenery or a desire to start over. You may not have anything wrong with where you currently live or there may not be any specific reason to move to a certain city; however, if you feel out of place in your area or feel trapped and unable to progress or restless and constantly looking at the horizon then it might be time for a change.

Weather can also have a big impact on your health and psychological well-being. If you avoid going out alone due to the elements or suffer from allergies and fatigue from the suffocating heat or are sick of blizzards and icy roads then it's time to pack up and move to another city where the weather agrees with you. Sometimes it's as simple as changing your point of view or maybe moving to a new apartment in the city where you already live. But if none of these options work for you then just listen to your inner voice and follow your instinct; it won't lead you astray.

An unexpected call from an employer in another city could also be the universe telling you that it's time for a change. Whatever the reason is that makes you feel like a stranger in your own country, it tells you that it's time to move to another state. So if any of these signs sound familiar then it might be time for you to make a move.
